Trader Joe’s Fave

It’s that time again…. my favorite Trader Joe’s item of the week!  This week I must share about turkey jerky.  It’s delicious!  It’s moist, and tasty and filling.  I love it and so do my husband and kids.  Mmmm…turkey jerky.

Trader Joe’s Fave of the Week

Lemon Curd.  It’s delicious!  I put a bit of it on my pancakes and enjoyed it very much.  Apparently it’s only sold every now and then so hurry now while supplies last!  It’s fantastic stuff if you enjoy a little citrus with a little sweet. =)

class

I had my 3rd cake decorating class last night.  I’m still trying to learn how to do the beginning parts of the rose.  It’s actually pretty tough!  I made cup cakes too, so hopefully they will be easier to give away than an entire cake would be. Next week is my final class and I’m [...]

Lessons

So I registerd for a 4 week course on cake decorating.   I start Tuesday and am pretty excited about it.  I decided after reading all I could find on cake decorating that I would be getting myself in way over my head because I really don’t know the basics.  Hopefully I’ll learn a thing or [...]

Art in it’s yummiest form

I don’t know if anyone knows this about me, but I have a slight artistic side.  When I was a little girl I taught myself to draw and in high school I grew a love for painting with acrylics and oils.  It’s something that runs in my family which is kind of neat – my [...]

Mother daughter cooking

Grace has been helping me cook recently.  On Friday we made pizza.  She made her own little pizza and was a natural at it.  She floured up her board, kneeded the dough, spread the sauce, sprinkled the cheese (sampled the cheese as well – but hey, I say that sampling while cooking is part of [...]

This is SO Good!

Ok so here is a recipe for an amazing apple pandowdy.  I mean, seriously it’s awesome.  I made it tonight as a practice run through for a dessert that I’m bringing over to a friend’s house next week.  It’s a keeper for sure!
1 1/4 C butter
2/3 C sugar
1 egg
1 C milk
2 1/2 C flour
3 tsp. baking [...]

Yippie!!

Grace is finally potty trained!!!  She has been going diaper free during the day for about a week now and is using the big potty too.  I eventually had to hide the little training toilet because she refused to sit on a big toilet.  She still wears pull-ups at night but that’s ok.  One step [...]

I love my Apron

I feel like a homemaker from the 50’s or something right now =).  I have my two girls plus Sammy who’s over for a couple of hours.  I have my apron on and am making chocolate caramel cookies.
Last night I packed Grace’s suitcase for the weekend.  She’s staying with her grandparent’s so that Rich and [...]
